| Deputy Chief Mark Anthony presents crime statistics at the Sector H Beat Management Team Meeting, held at Sanai Temple on Dickinson Street. Compared to this same period last year violent crime is down in Springfield, down in Sector H and down in the Forest Park section. Forest Park generates the second highest amount of calls in the city. Downtown generates the most. The Deputy Chief revealed that we have 649 registered sex offenders in the city, 136 level 3 offenders (most dangerous). He urged citizens to go to www.Mass.gov to seek information on sex offenders. In addition, Deputy Chief Anthony gave citizens the web address for the Springfield Police Department: www.springfieldpolice.net A direct link to the police is provided below. That site can be used to access arrest information approximately three to ninety days old. |
